Accounting and Automated Office

This program is designed to develop essential accounting and office automation and application skills. The focus is on learning the basic Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Fundamental procedures in understanding Spreadsheets, Credits and Debits, setting up Accounts, Ledgers, Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Reports are at the core of the course. Opportunity is provided to learn the two most widely used automated accounting applications, Peachtree Accounting, and QuickBooks Pro for example. This program also includes Microsoft Certification in any of the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) components taken to satisfy graduation requirements

As with all programs at ICT/ILS, this program includes an externship. An Externship is a program component that assigns a student to a partnering company for 135 hours, giving the student the opportunity to put his/her new skills to use and gain real-life experience. ICT/ILS is one of the few schools that offer this as part of a student’s training in every program of study.
