Office Administration today is much different since the evolution of the personal computer. Word processing, accounting, and computer operating systems, when combined with keyboarding skills, prepare the graduate for advanced or supervisory positions. This program provides the essential tools for successful employment and advancement in a field that is vital to the success of most companies.
Included in this program are such popular courses as Microsoft Word, Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and more, equipping the graduate to go well beyond basic clerical/secretarial positions.
This program includes Microsoft Certification in any of the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) components taken to satisfy graduation requirements.
As with all programs at ICT/ILS, this program includes an externship. An Externship is a program component that assigns a student to a partnering company for 135 hours, giving the student the opportunity to put his/her new skills to use and gain real-life experience. ICT/ILS is one of the few schools that offer this as part of a student’s training in every program of study.

Recently, I interviewed with a local computer networking firm. I found two things to be very interesting during the interview. First, I did not apply for this position. The company actually found out about me through word of mouth. Second, I was told by the interviewer that “The reason we reached out to you is because your resume was so well put together and we were impressed”. Without a doubt, the mock interviews that we conducted in class provided me with tons of confidence during the interview process.
