ASSOCIATE DEGREE–OFFICE TECHNOLOGY
For those students whose career objectives are best served by possessing an Associate Degree, ICT provides the student with a choice of programs that build on the fundamentals of the diploma programs.
The Associate of Science Degree in Office Technology prepares the graduate for a career in the automated environment of a modern business office. The core program requirements provide a solid foundation in office skills including the theory and use of the basic computer applications and operating systems.
The general education components help the graduate to develop effective oral and written communication skills and to develop the ability to work cooperatively with individuals from a diversity of backgrounds. In pursuit of the AA, the student must complete 18 semester credit hours, including three semester credit hours from each of these four areas:
- Humanities
- Natural Sciences
- Behavioral Sciences
- Mathematics
In addition, the graduate selects one of three areas of emphasis in which to pursue the more specialized skills that greatly increase employment and career advancement opportunities. The areas of emphasis are:
Depending on the objectives of the student, it is possible to complete the Associate of Science Degree in less than two years, giving graduates of ICT a distinct advantage in finding a fast track to a new career.
The Associate of Science Degree Programs are offered at the Main Campus in Chamblee, Georgia. All courses completed at the Branch Campuses are fully transferable to these degree programs.
