ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY

The abuse of alcohol and the use of illegal drugs by members of the ICT/ILS student body and staff are incompatible with the goals of the institution.  In order to further the institution’s commitment to provide a healthy, safe and productive educational environment, and in compliance with the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989, the institution has established the following policy on alcohol and substance abuse.
 
The manufacture, distribution, possession, or use of alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, or illegal drugs, in any quantity, on all Interactive Learning System Campuses or at approved events off campus is prohibited.
 
You cannot bring in, make, distribute, sell, or be under the influence of alcoholic beverages, controlled substances or dangerous drugs while you are on campus including buildings, grounds, and vehicles.
 
Minimum Sanctions for Alcohol and Substance Abuse Violations
 
  • Probation or expulsion from the institution
  • Loss of all financial aid
  • Mandated evaluations and treatment
  • Community service work
 
You have the right to due process when accused of a violation of this policy.
